Mesmerizing Colombian Emerald Brooch with Diamonds in Platinum

The emerald has one of the longest histories and widest recognition of any gemstone through the ages. Known since the days of Ancient Egypt, for hundreds of years they have been worn by kings, queens and the highest ranks in society.Today, emeralds can be found all over the world, but one place will be still older and more famous than all the rest: Colombia. 

This mesmerizing brooch is a wonderful example of the treasure that Colombian emeralds hold. Crafted in a floral motif in platinum, it is crowned with three incredible cabochon-emeralds totaling approximate 12.7 carats. Stones of true grace and rarity, they are officially certified by Gübelin Gem Lab.

The trio is framed by 131 diverse-cut diamonds weighing approximate 8.74 carats and accented by 3 marquise-cut "diamond leaves" weighing 2.10 carats. All diamonds are of the classic G-H colour and vs clarity.
